From an internet maps website, it is 786 miles and takes about 11 hours and 32 minutes to drive using the app calculation. Note: I stopped for an overnight rest when I got tired of driving.
My son bought a lake house last year. I was unable to visit last summer because a friend and I drove to Fairbanks, Alaska. Note: I don't like being cold and I don't go north in the winter.
His lakehouse is in an area known as the 'chain of lakes'. When I returned home and downloaded the pictures, the name of the lake was part of the picture statistics and I used that name when describing each picture.

When I was visiting, my son had received a drone that he ordered and he took a 'skyview' of the area.

Here is a picture of some houses across the lake from my sons house. Similar houses line the shores of all the lakes that I visited. Almost all of the residents own a boat, pontoon and/or jetski. Most of the boats had a cover and many had 'lifts' built-in for pulling the boat up out of the water or putting the boat lower into the water. Note the ladder on one dock that is used when people swim there. Also note that the lake has steel dividers between the lake and yard. (Some owners prefer rocks.)

This picture is the houses on the right of the previous picture. It shows a couple of docks. The leftmost dock is the most common type, i.e. boat inside lift with cover. The rightmost dock has a canopy of pipes for holding a cover. I was told that in the winter, the boats have to be taken out of the water and the aluminum/metal poles and docks have to be removed because the ice will destroy them.

There is a McDonald's Restaurant in the town that is also accessible by a canal to the lake.
